We downsized the house

9/7/2018

In May we decided to downsize our 5 bedroom 3 full bath house. It was a great house with 3 levels. We gave away, sold, donated and even threw away 3 levels of house with 30 years worth of "saving memories". It took 2 months. I did not make much progress until my sister came to help. She had me throw away Dawn Dolls, Liddle Kiddles, Barbie, Suzie Sad eyes.....and so many small parts and clothing. I tried to donate these dolls, but Goodwill and the Kidney Foundation workers just threw away the dolls. I did manage to keep a few things away from my sister. 4 boxes of vintage jewelry and dolls.

My sister was right. It would take years to clean and sell these toys. I hate it when she is right.

Now, my husband and I are staying in our 19 foot 1976 Vintage Nomad Camper. We are learning how to live in a camper for our big trip across the US. I have already marked our route to San Diego from Georgia. We are leaving in October 2018. I will be posting pictures from the road and tips on living in a Travel Trailer/Camper. Lots of PINS to come on PINTREST.

Vintage Camper Restored

10/30/2017

Well after 4 years of drooling over campers, We finally purchased 3 in the same week. Once I had Earl on board about how lovely it will be to travel without nasty motels ( even the Marriott and Hyatt had issues).he was ready. Our first purchase was a Nomad Weekender 16 ft camper with a bathroom. The second purchase was a gutted out Shasta camper. We plan on using the Shasta for a traveling BEAD shop. The third camper is my absolute favorite. The Yellowstone 1963 Cavalier 10 foot camper. See the pictures. I was so in love with the Cab Over style of this gem that I over-looked the water damage over the back couch. Oh well, that happens. It is always fixable. Here are the pictures of "Honey Bear" before restoration.

These re-purposed plant markers are made from recycled mini blinds. Just cut your blind into 6 inch pieces and clip one end in a V shape to make a point.

Use with Sharpie Markers.

Visiting Mount Yonah - North Georgia

5/24/2016

This past weekend we visited North Georgia. I found a lovely Native American possibly Creek hand Axe in the side of a hill at the base of Mount Yonah I will post a picture of it soon

I always love visiting the Mark of the Potter, The Gourd Shop and the Soque River Nursery that specalizes in water lillies and pond plants.

The Mark of the Potter has a deep pond at the bottom of a small shoal waterfall. They have fish food machines on the deck overlooking the river at Mark of the Potter where people can feed the fish. It keeps the trout protected and fed. The Owner of the Mark of the Potter Lynn Morgan owns this section of the river banks and does not allow fishing. I really respect the fact that she does this because if everyone came along the side of this highway fishing....the trout would be gone.

There is a Soque River Fishing Festival on the first weekend of June each year. That is when the river opens up for a festival on a farm. I hope we get to make it there this year.

Today was great. Earl bought me roses. We posted more Liddle Kiddle Dolls on our ETSY site.

Of course,Register.com has still not transfered my domain to GoDaddy. Other than that....the day was great.

New Website Design

2/11/2016

We decided to use a new web design. Hopefully, this will be easier for our customers. It took me quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to transfer our domain to a user friendly site. Please be patient while we switch things around.
